Honda Shine 100 is making waves in 100 cc segment
When it comes to cheap and affordable bikes, the name of Hero Splendor comes to mind first. Hero MotoCorp is India’s largest bike seller, and competes with giants like Bajaj, TVS, and Honda.
But now Honda is giving tough competition to Hero. After launching the Shine 100 in the 100 cc segment last year, Honda has made a strong hold in the market.
Sales of three lakh units crossed
In just a year of its launch, Honda Shine 100 has crossed the sales mark of 3 lakh units. It is a direct competition to bikes like Hero Splendor and HF Deluxe.
The company says that bike sales in the 100 to 110 cc segment are growing rapidly, and have seen steady growth in the last 10 years. Honda is also selling a large number of bikes through its strong dealership network.
Additionally, the company also held a “My Delivery” event on its 24th anniversary, which further boosted sales.
Honda Shine 100 famous for mileage
Honda Shine 100 has a 100 cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine. This bike is equipped with Honda ESP technology with better mileage and fuel injection. Being a BS-6 engine, it is quite refined.
This engine generates power of 7.5 bhp and torque of 8.5 Nm. This power is enough for Indian roads and also gives a mileage of 65 to 70 kmpl.
Honda is different from other companies
Honda is also offering 6 years warranty on its new bike, whereas other companies offer only 3 years warranty.
Apart from this, the Shine 100 also comes with all the standard features like digital instrument cluster, CBS (Combined Braking System), and side stand engine cut off switch.
Honda Shine 100, with its affordable price, strong mileage, and modern features, has emerged as a great option in the 100 cc segment.
It is giving tough competition to Hero Splendor, and the sales figures may touch even higher heights in the coming times.
