DA HIKE UPDATE: Central employees are getting a shock for the third consecutive month. At present, the Labour Bureau has not released the numbers of the All India Consumer Price Index (AICPI-IW). The numbers to be released on 31 May have been put on hold.
Due to this, it has now become difficult to estimate any dearness allowance (DA hike). This option can also develop that the Labour Bureau is getting delayed due to a lack of data for February and March in calculating the dearness allowance of central employees. Now one will have to wait for its numbers till the end of June.
The Consumer Price Index (CPI-IW) data for February, March, and April has not been released for industrial workers, due to which they are now finding it difficult to take further action without knowing it.
According to new source, the delay in releasing the numbers is because the Labour Bureau does not have the data for February and March month till now.
Its information can be updated in the numbers released at the end of June. Despite this not being official data, it is not certain that the dearness allowance will not increase in July 2024. There may be tiny change in DA calculation.
