Bangladesh protests: Amid student protests and violence in Bangladesh, Sheikh Hasina resigned from the post of Prime Minister of Bangladesh and fled the country on Monday after violent clashes. More than 300 people have been reported dead in the violent clashes so far.

The army, which has taken the responsibility of forming the “interim government,”  has given her 45 minutes to step down. PM Sheikh Hasina has left PM’s official place with her sister Rehana and gone to a safe place. According to the news coming out, there is a possibility of her coming to Delhi.

However, there is no concrete evidence of where she has left for. In fact, on Monday, the protesters surrounded the PM’s residence, vandalised it, and entered inside. Seeing the threat to her life, Sheikh Hasina has taken this shocking decision.

According to the information received, Sheikh Hasina left in a military plane and is heading to an unspecified “safe place.” There are reports that it will be London, but a stopover in Delhi is also expected. Indian security agencies are tracking a C-130 plane headed to Delhi, which is believed to be carrying the former prime minister and some of her companions.

According to news agency AFP, she wanted to address the nation, but her security team rejected the offer due to the proximity of the violence. Bangladeshi sources told AFP that her security team asked her for leave and “did not get time to prepare the speech.”
