Central government employees’ wait continues
Central employees are also waiting for the increase in DA. Usually the increase in DA for the period July-December is announced in September-October, but its effect comes into effect from July itself. At present, the DA of central employees is 50%.
How many employees will benefit
A total of about 4.71 lakh employees will benefit from this decision of the government. The state government will pay a total of Rs 1129.51 crore to these employees as DA arrears.
Installments of DA arrears
Employees will get DA arrears for six months from January 2024 to June 2024 in three installments.
The first installment will be given with the salary of July, the second installment with the salary of August, and the third installment with the salary of September.

Employee organizations have welcomed this DA hike and called it a good step in the interest of the employees.
He has expressed hope that the central government will also soon announce an increase in DA for central employees.
