Bajaj Chetak 3201: Bajaj Auto has launched a new variant of its electric scooter, the Chetak 3201 Special Edition. The new Bajaj Chetak 3201 is priced at Rs 1.29 lakh (ex-showroom, Bangalore). And it is exclusively available on Amazon this month. Compared to the standard variant, the new Chetak 3201 gets special upgrades in the form of aesthetic and feature updates.

The new Chetak 3201 Special Edition sees special changes in the form of tone-on-tone embossed decals and quilted seats. Based on the top-end Premium variant, the electric scooter gets a Brooklyn Black paint scheme and retains a solid steel body. The model is IP 67 rated for water resistance

Talking about the features, the new Chetak 3201 has been given many features including Bluetooth connectivity through the Chetak app, color TFT instrument console and auto hazard light.
Bajaj Auto and Amazon partnership
According to Bajaj Auto, the new Chetak 3201 Special Edition is the first collaboration between the electric vehicle manufacturer and the e-commerce giant. If you buy this you will be able to purchase the e-scooter online and the rest of the paperwork will be done by the dealership. Notably, Bajaj recently announced a partnership with Flipkart to sell its motorcycle range online.
Also part of PLI scheme
Bajaj has also announced that the Chetak Premium, Chetak Urbane (3202) and the new Chetak 3201 Special Edition have received approval for the Electric Mobility Promotion Scheme (EMPS) from the Ministry of Heavy Industries (MHI). The company is also part of the Government of India’s production-linked incentive (PLI) scheme for electric vehicles.
