RRB Group D Exam 2024: The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has released the notification for Group D Exam 2024.
Along with the notification, information about the eligibility criteria of the candidates for the Group D exam has also been shared.
According to RRB, the age limit of the candidates appearing in the Group D exam should be 18 years to 33 years. Reserved categories will be given relaxation in the maximum age in age limit.
RRB shared revised eligibility criteria
RRB has shared the revised eligibility criteria. It mentions several criteria including nationality criteria, minimum educational qualification, and physical fitness for candidates applying in Railway Group D – Electrical, Mechanical, Civil Engineering or Technical departments.
During this, medical tests will also be conducted to verify the verification of documents of the candidates selected by the Railways.
What will be the educational qualification
The Railway Recruitment Board has prescribed the minimum and maximum educational qualifications for the Railway Group D exam.
This time the educational qualification in the exam has been amended for the candidates applying.
Candidates must have a Class 10th pass certificate along with a National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) provided by the National Council of Vocational Training.
Apart from this, candidates who have a Class 10th certificate and ITI certificate are also eligible for the Group D exam.
What should be the criteria for nationality/citizenship
Nationality criteria is also an important aspect of the Railway Group D exam. This national-level exam includes various eligibility criteria, which will be mandatory for the candidates to fulfill.
Candidates for the Railway Group D exam are required to meet any one of these categories of nationality or citizenship:
• Citizen of India.
• Bhutanese citizen.
• Nepalese citizen.
Tibetan refugee who permanently settled in India before 1 January 1962.
Persons of Indian origin from Burma, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, United Republic of Tanzania, Malawi, Ethiopia, Zambia, and Vietnam to permanently settle in India.
Candidates applying for the Railway Group D exam will have to pass the physical efficiency test and medical examination along with citizenship criteria and educational qualification. Candidates can check detailed information in this regard on the RRB website.
