Free LPG Cylinders for Women: The Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra governments have announced free LPG cylinders for women.

Under this scheme, eligible women will be able to get a certain number of free LPG cylinders in a year.

Only residents of Uttar Pradesh can avail the benefits of this scheme. To avail of this scheme, beneficiaries have to link their bank account with Aadhaar.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana in 2016.

More than 9 crore free gas connections have been given in the country under this scheme. A free gas cylinder guarantee has also been announced in Andhra Pradesh.
