What’s new in the 2025 MG Astor?
The updated version of MG Astor will contain a self-charging hybrid system. Like the system found in the MG3, this system will run on the Atkinson cycle with a petrol engine and an electric motor. A 1.83 kWh NCM lithium-ion battery pack uses by new hybrid system
Design updates
Except from the new hybrid powertrain, the MG Astor will also contain a comprehensive design overhaul. This compact SUV will now get a sporty look like some global models like the MG3 and MG HS. Key features of the exterior changes include a new front fascia with new LED headlights and grille, as well as newly designed bumpers and air intakes.
Interior and Features
This new car is supposed to get a dual-screen setup for the infotainment and instrument cluster. Other expected features of the updated MG Astor include power-adjustable front seats, 360-degree camera system, wireless charging, and ADAS with new functionality.
The new MG Astor or MG ZS is expected to be launched by September 2023 in European market. But in Indian it is expected to launch in 2025. Like the current model, the updated MG Astor will also compete with SUVs like the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos and even the Citroen Basalt and Tata Curvv in the compact SUV segment.
