The Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana launched to provide housing to poor families, has been extended for five years.

According to the order issued, now eligible persons will be selected under the Pradhan Mantri Yojana till 2028-29 and they will be given assistance to build houses.

Project Director Rural Development Agency Prem Tripathi said that the survey of eligible homeless families will be started as soon as the government’s instructions are received.

The Project Director said that under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, two crore families in the country will be given the benefit of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.

Eligible families will be surveyed to get benefits under the housing scheme. Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, those homeless families found in the earlier Socio-Economic Survey 2011 and Awas Plus Survey 2018 will also be benefited, who have not been able to avail the great benefits of the best scheme till now due to various reasons.

Who Will Not Get The Benefit

The benefit of the scheme will be available even if there is a motorcycle
The Project Director said that in the new guidelines, if any member of the homeless family has a motorcycle, then they will also be given the benefit of the scheme.

Earlier, if any member of the family had a motorcycle, they were excluded from the scheme, but now this will not happen.

Will not get Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana if there is a three-wheeler or four-wheeler

Standards have been set by the Rural Development Ministry of the Government of India to provide benefits under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.

In the list of prescribed standards of ineligibility, if a family has a motorized three-wheeler or four-wheeler, then the member of that family will not be given the benefit of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.

In other conditions, if the living family has a three-wheeler or four-wheeler for farming or agricultural use, then the family will not have to be able to avail the best benefit of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.

If the family has a Kisan Credit Card of Rs 50,000 or more.

if there are government employees in the family.

if the family is registered in non-agricultural enterprises.

if the income is Rs 15,000 or more per month, if the family pays income tax, professional tax.

if they have two and a half acres of irrigated land or five acres or more of non-irrigated land.

Then the family will also be excluded from the eligibility category.

So far one lakh families have got the benefit of th scheme

Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, one lakh families in the district have been given the benefit of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.

Housing beneficiaries are given an assistance amount of one lakh 20 thousand rupees for building a house as well as 90 days’ wages from MNREGA.

These families are given an assistance amount of 12 thousand rupees for toilet construction under the Swachh Bharat Mission, free gas connection under Ujjwala Yojana, free electricity connection under Sahujya Yojana, free tap water connection under Har Ghar Jal Yojana.
