Bajaj Freedom 125 : Bajaj Freedom 125 is the world’s first CNG bike, which has been launched just a few months ago. Ever since this bike came into the market, it has become very popular.
But many people complain that when the company was giving the benefit of CNG cylinder, then why has it given only a 2 kg cylinder? If you were also thinking the same, then after this information your questions will come to an end. Read below why the company has given only 2 kg CNG tank in Bajaj Freedom 125.
Big difference between normal and CNG bike
Although generally we talk about 10-11 liters of fuel tank in a 125 cc petrol bike. But Bajaj’s CNG bike gets a total fuel tank of 2 kg CNG and 2 liters of petrol. According to the company’s claim, this bike gives a mileage of 102 km in just one kg of CNG. Talking about its total range, its total range is 330 km.
Reason behind a 2 kg CNG tank in the bike
Looking at the CNG tank installed under the seat, the large size of this bike is revealed. The company has been very cautious about this bike, the company did not want the bike to be at risk of fire due to CNG. The CNG tank weighs 16 kg, it is the second heaviest part of the bike after the engine. When this tank is full, its weight becomes 18 kg. Due to which it can also be heavier than a normal bike. In such a situation, having a larger CNG tank would also increase the weight of the bike and it would also take up more space. Apart from this, the chances of fire could also be more. Therefore, the company has given a CNG tank of only 2 kg in the new bike.
