Rainfall is increasing across the country and in some places rainfall is decreasing day by day. At present, rain has reduced in some states including Kerala and Karnataka.

Monsoon rains are in full swing in many different parts of the country including Delhi-NCR. Heavy rain is falling in Delhi-NCR today.
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), heavy rains are likely at various places in Saurashtra and Kutch today i.e. on August 29. IMD has declared a red alert in this regard.
Weather mood across the country
Apart from this, heavy rainfall is expected at isolated places in Odisha, coastal, and south interior parts of Karnataka. An orange alert has been issued regarding heavy rains in Odisha and Karnataka. Many parts of Delhi-NCR are flooded due to overnight rain.
This has affected the traffic. According to the IMD, today there will be rain and thunder in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana-Chandigarh-Delhi, West Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Jharkhand.
Heavy rain alerts in these states
Apart from this, heavy rainfall (about 7 cm) is expected at isolated places over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura, Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Kerala as well as Mahe, Coastal Andhra Pradesh and some part of Yanam, North part of Karnataka.
There is a possibility of lightning and thundershowers in isolated parts of Madhya Pradesh. According to the IMD, today heavy rain is expected over Western Uttar Pradesh, Arabian Sea, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Konkan, Goa, Karnataka, Kerala coasts, Lakshadweep area, Gulf of Mannar, and Sri Lanka coast.
Light to moderate rain likely
Winds will blow at a speed of 45 mph to 55 mph over most parts of Bengal, the Bay of Bengal and North Bay of Bengal, North Andhra Pradesh, and the North Andaman Sea. It is expected to reach.
According to the IMD, winds are expected to blow at a speed of 45 mph to 55 mph over western parts of the Southwest Arabian Sea, Somalia, Yemen, Oman coast, and most western parts today.
Central speed is likely to increase to 65 mph. Winds may blow at a speed of 55 mph to 65 mph over the Gujarat coast and adjoining Pakistan coast and North-East and East-Central Arabian Sea, which may reach 75 mph. Fishermen have been advised not to go to these areas.
