New Kia Seltos: Kia India has refreshed the Seltos in the competition with new features. The updated 2024 Seltos also gets a new combination of engine and transmission. The new Seltos has been launched in petrol G1.5 HTK Plus IVT and diesel 1.5-litre CRDi 6AT variants.
With these, many other new features like dual pane panoramic sunroof, drive and traction control modes, paddle shifters and LED connected taillamps have been found. The ex-showroom price of Seltos petrol G1.5 HTK Plus IVT and diesel 1.5-litre CRDi 6AT variants is Rs 15.4 lakh and Rs 16.9 lakh respectively.
The HTK variant gets LED
DRL, push button start/stop with smart key, remote engine start/stop as well as LED connected taillamps. With its entry level. the company has given all power windows and voice commands. it is available in five colors – Aurora Black Pearl, Gravity Gray, Intense Red, Pewter Olive and Imperial Blue.
Kia India has now kept the starting price of this updated SUV at Rs 10.89 lakh. The company has increased the price of these cars from April 1, 2024, this is the new starting price after the price hike.
Hi-tech Seltos in safety
Kia India has made the new Seltos much stronger than before in terms of safety, in which Level 2 ADAS has been introduced. With its arrival. the car has now got 17 advanced driver assistant features. while 15 passive safety features have also been provided with it. With this mid-size SUV.
Kia has given many other features of the current Seltos, including 6 airbags. forward collision warning assist, blind spot collision warning. lane keep assist. tire pressure monitoring system and hill assist control with ESC.
How powerful is the engine
With Kia Seltos, the company has given the same 1.5-liter petrol engine which produces 115 hp power and 144 Nm peak torque. Apart from this. a 1.5-liter turbo diesel engine has also been given which produces 250 Nm peak torque with 115 hp power.
Kia has reintroduced a new 1.5-liter turbo petrol engine with the new Seltos which generates 160 hp power and 253 Nm peak torque.
It produces 20 hp power and 10 Nm torque more than the previous turbo petrol engine. The company has equipped the new engine with a 6-speed IMT and dual-clutch automatic gearbox.
Equipped with powerful features
The company has given many updates in the cabin of Kia Seltos. which include dual zone climate control, panoramic sunroof, 8-inch heads up display, electronic parking brakes and sound mood lamps with Bose’s 8-speed system.
The car’s cabin has ventilated seats which are 8-way powered seats. Many other features have been provided here along with a 10.25-inch infotainment system.
In the Indian market, the new Kia Seltos continues to compete with the Hyundai Creta, Volkswagen Tiguan, Skoda Kushak and the upcoming Honda Elevate.
