Earlier, under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha Evam Utthan Mahabhiyan (PM-KUSUM) scheme, the subsidy was given only to those who installed 7.5 and 10 HP solar pumps. Now it has been changed.

How much subsidy will be given

Giving information, Agriculture Officer Monica said that due to less land, subsidies will also be given to those who install solar pumps of 3 and 5 HP.

In this, 60 percent of the cost will be given as a subsidy. Farmers will have to spend 40 percent. A farmer will get a maximum subsidy of Rs 2.38 lakh for installing a solar pump.

Farmers will get the additional benefit of ₹ 45,000

Till now 6487 solar pumps have been installed in the district under the PM Kusum Yojana. Apart from the subsidy, Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe farmers will also get the help of Rs 45 thousand from the state fund.

How much subsidy for how many HP

Giving information, Monica said that the cost of 3 HP is Rs 2.15 lakh and the farmer will get a subsidy of Rs 1.14 lakh, the cost of 5 HP motor is Rs 3.05 lakh and the farmer will get a subsidy of Rs 1.76 lakh and the cost of 7.5 HP motor is Rs 4.53 lakh and the farmer will get a subsidy of Rs 2.38 lakh.

Up to 60 percent subsidy will have been available

He said that till now 7.5 and 10 HP motors were available only to big farmers. But now a target of 2 thousand solar pumps has been set.

In this scheme, the government will provide solar energy pump plants for irrigation to farmers who do not have agricultural electricity connections for irrigation and who depend on diesel-operated pumps or other alternative means.

After the subsidy, the farmer is required to use drip, mini sprinkler, micro sprinkler, and sprinkler plants for irrigation in agricultural and horticultural crops. After application, a 60 percent subsidy will be payable to general and OBC category farmers in the scheme.

Applications started, these documents are necessary

Agriculture officer Monica said that applications for solar pump subsidies have started in PM Kusum Yojana.

For this, a Jan Aadhar Card, copy of land jamabandi or passbook (land ownership), irrigation water source online self-declaration certificate, affidavit of not having electricity connection and online self-declaration certificate are required.

OBC and the general category should have a minimum land ownership of 0.4 hectares. ST farmers need a minimum land ownership of 0.2 hectares for pump sets of 3 and 5 HP capacity.
