What is Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana

This is an important scheme run by the central government. The main objective of this scheme is to provide financial assistance to financially weak pregnant women.

Under the scheme, the government deposits a total amount of ₹ 5,000 in three installments to pregnant women directly into their bank account.

The age of the woman should be more than 19 years at the time of application

Antyodaya ration card holders or fall in the BPL category

Should not be a regular employee in a government department or public sector undertaking

Mother’s Aadhaar card

Father’s Aadhaar card (if available)

Bank account details (bank passbook or account number and IFSC code)

Proof of address (Aadhaar card/ration card/voter ID card)

Proof of pregnancy (certificate from government hospital/health center)

How to Apply

You can apply for the scheme in two ways

Online application

Visit the official website https://pmmvy.wcd.gov.in/.

Click on the “Citizen Login” option.

Enter your mobile number and verify by OTP.

Click on “Data Entry” and select “ Get Beneficiary Registration”.

Fill in the child’s details (first or second birth).

Select the Aadhaar card number, date of birth, age, and category.

Submit address proof along with mobile number and ID proof.

Submit the form after entering all correct the details.

Offline Application

Contact your nearest Anganwadi centre or ASHA worker.

Submit the required documents and fill out the application form.
