PMAY: Changes have been made in the eligibility rules in Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. For Awas Plus Survey-2024, now the eligible persons will be selected under the new rules.

The CDO informed the public representatives present in the meeting that at present the work of Awas Plus Survey 2024 is being started as per the instructions of the Central Government. The government has revised the selection standards of eligible persons for housing.

These things removed from the standards of ineligibility

It was told that earlier the standards of ineligibility included two wheeler, landline phone, refrigerator etc. At present, these have been removed from the standards of ineligibility. Earlier, if the monthly income of any member of the family was 10 thousand or more, then he was made ineligible.

At present this limit has been made 15 thousand rupees per month. It was also informed that at present the program of meetings is going on in all the Gram Panchayats.

Meetings are also proposed for its promotion at the development block level. A register will be prepared at the Gram Panchayat level. In which the complete details of each eligible family will be recorded. The Block Development Officer will observe it from time to time.

These people will get the benefit of the scheme

The revised criteria for ineligibility of the scheme include motorized three. four wheeler vehicles, mechanized three. four wheeler agricultural equipment. farmer credit holders with a credit limit of Rs 50 thousand or more, a family whose member is a government employee. families with registered non-agricultural enterprises. any member of the family who earns Rs 15 thousand per month or more.

Families paying income tax, families with 2.5 acres or more irrigated land, families with 5 acres or more non-irrigated land will remain ineligible for the scheme.

It was expected from the Block Pramukh and Pradhans that the name of every eligible person should be included in the list to get the benefit of the scheme. The name of an ineligible person should not be included in the list.
