Free ration investigation: The state government is starting the investigation of all the families of the state who are taking advantage of cheap cylinders or gas subsidy and free ration scheme under the National Food Security Act (NFSA). The government is investigating those taking free ration every day to eliminate complaints of ration scam and to exclude ineligible citizens from the free ration scheme.
Now all the citizens taking advantage of free ration, whose families have AC, car and more than 8 bighas of land, will be excluded from the free ration scheme. Even before starting this scheme, the government has warned all such beneficiaries who are taking advantage of the free food security scheme despite falling into any such category.
As per the order of the Chief Minister, such families should stop taking advantage of free ration for a certain period otherwise they may have to pay a fine for it. 1 crore 7 lakh families included in free ration investigation Rajasthan Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department Principal Secretary Bhaskar A Sawant has written a letter to the Income Tax and Transport Department for free ration investigation. In this, a list of people paying tax and having four wheeler vehicles has been sought. In Rajasthan, the investigation for more than 1.7cr beneficiary families under the National Food Security Act (NFSA) is being started.
Through Rajasthan Free Ration Investigation, the government wants to find out such families who have high level facilities like four wheelers and AC. During this investigation, the names of those families will be removed from the ration scheme, which are not eligible for the ration scheme.
The department has sought a list of income tax payers
The state government has sought a list of all taxpayers of the state of Rajasthan from the Income Tax Department, so that during the investigation, ineligible families can be easily excluded from the ration scheme, the list of such income tax payers has been sought under the aadhar number. Because in the NFSA list also the aadhar numbers of all the members of the selected families are also linked to the list.
For this, in a letter written to the income tax department, it has been said that the state government wants to investigate the beneficiaries of NFSA. Because there is a provision in NFSA that no income tax payer can take advantage of getting free food grains from the government under the guarantee of food security. In such a situation, it is possible that in the coming time, the list of all the taxpayers of the state will be provided to the department soon.
List of four-wheelers will also be made
The list of four-wheeler owners will also be released soon, in fact, a similar letter has been written by the Food Supply Department to the Additional Chief Secretary of the Transport Department. In this letter, a separate list of people owning four-wheelers in the state has been made on the basis of Aadhaar number and released on the government website, however, this list will not include tractors or other commercial vehicles used for livelihood.
