Heavy rain warning in Uttarakhand
The Meteorological Department predicts heavy rains in most of Uttarakhand. We have recorded heavy rains throughout the past day and into the night. Several districts, including Dehradun, have received instructions to keep schools closed due to the heavy rains.
Garhwal and Kumaon have been experiencing rainfall since the morning. We expect heavy rain throughout the day today. An alert has been issued for heavy rain in Dehradun, Pauri, Bageshwar, Champawat, Nainital and Udham Singh Nagar throughout the day on Friday. We estimate that Haridwar may experience heavy rain.
Heavy rain will occur in these states
According to the IMD, heavy rain will be seen in western Uttar Pradesh, Delhi and Uttarakhand. Rain is also expected in some areas of Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Northeast Rajasthan, Jharkhand.
Heavy rain may be recorded in Northeast India, Bihar, Eastern Uttar Pradesh and Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh and Eastern Rajasthan. At the same time, heavy rain may also occur in Konkan and Goa, coastal Karnataka, Himachal Pradesh.
The southwest monsoon may start returning from the country between September 19 and 25. According to the India Meteorological Department, the southwest monsoon usually enters Kerala by June 1 and reaches the entire country by July 8. It begins to retreat from northwest India around September 17 and withdraws completely by October 15.
