The market’s gradual increase in demand for electric scooters has prompted Honda to prepare for its entry into the electric segment next year. While Honda’s rival companies have entered the electric segment, why is Honda taking so long?
According to media reports, Honda’s first electric scooter could launch in the market next year. Honda is likely to launch the electric version of the Activa under the name Activa Electric.

When will the Honda Activa Electric go on sale?
Reports indicate that the Honda company plans to launch its first electric scooter for customers in March of next year. Currently, the company has not disclosed any official information about the launch date. The company can launch the Honda e:Swap scooter with battery swapping technology.
Production may start in December.
According to some media reports, the Honda Activa Electric can come with an improved driving range and advanced features such as connected features, an infotainment unit, and keyless. A report from some time ago stated that the company’s Karnataka facility could begin producing the electric version of the Activa by December 2024. If all goes as planned, the company plans to launch this scooter by March next year.
We expect the starting price of the Honda Activa electric scooter to be approximately Rs 1 lakh. The Honda Activa electric model will compete with the Ether 450X, Ola, and TVS iQube electric scooters in the Indian market. However, the company has not said anything about the price of the scooter.
