Big auto companies of India are also working for the launch of electric vehicles, which are getting a good response among the people.

Now Tata Motors will launch Nano in electric avatar, which is being discussed rapidly. The company has not given any information about the date of launch of Tata Nano Electric. But the launch of Tata Nano Electric is being discussed in media reports. There is a possibility of getting some great features in this vehicle. Not only this, it can be seen winning the hearts of customers in terms of range.

What will be the features of Tata Nano Electric?

Features like electric power steering AC, front power window, Bluetooth are expected to be included in Tata Nano EV. Multi information display and remote locking system, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity are also sure to be added. Many features like touch screen display, infotainment system, 6 speaker sound system are expected to be available.

It is being made keeping urban needs in mind. A range of 200-220 km will be sufficient within the city. The design of the car is expected to be kept light. It will also include a 15.5 to 20 KWH lithium ion battery pack along with a small electric motor. Two charging options will be given with the battery. A home charger with 15A capacity and another DC fast charger will be given.

How much can be the price

Work is going on fast to make Tata Nano EV more affordable. In 2022, a company Electra EV re-installed an electric powertrain in Tata Nano. In early 2024, Tata and MG Motor reduced the rates of their electric vehicles when the cost of battery equipment came down. Currently, MG Comet EV is the cheapest in India, which starts at Rs 7 lakh, while the price of Tiago EV is Rs 7.99 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). In such a situation, the price of Tata Nano EV is expected to be fixed at around Rs 6 lakh (ex-showroom).

Tata Nano won everyone’s heart

Tata, which created a stir among the big auto companies, launched the Nano car in the market in 2008 at a price of just one lakh rupees. The car caught the attention of the world. However, due to long struggle and challenges, the company had to stop the production of Tata Nano in 2018. After which Tata started working on the electric version of the Nano car.

In the year 2015, the company also made agreements with some companies regarding Tata Nano. After which Tata also produced some Nano EVs for fleet purposes, but it is yet to be widely launched in the market. There are many reports of the launch of Tata Electric. The company has not said anything about this yet.
