1 October New Rules: There are only a few days left for the month of September to end. Many rules are going to change from the first date of next month i.e. 1 October. From Aadhar card to income tax, many big rules are going to change on the 1st of October.
Actually, many changes happen on the first date of every month. Government and non-government companies also make some changes in their rules. These changes directly affect the budget of the average citizen.
Gas cylinder
Every month, the first date marks a change in the price of LPG cylinders. Oil companies update the prices of domestic cylinders and commercial cylinders. Oil companies raised the prices of commercial cylinders in September, but did not alter the prices of domestic LPG cylinders.
Impact on SSY
New rules are also going to be implemented on Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana. According to the rules, only the legal guardians of daughters will be able to operate these accounts starting next month. Now those accounts which were opened by grandparents without the name of parents, will now have to be transferred to the name of legal guardians.
Aadhaar Card
The central government has proposed to discontinue the provision allowing the mention of an Aadhaar enrollment ID instead of an Aadhaar number during the financial budget. Starting October 1, 2024, individuals will no longer be required to mention Aadhaar enrollment ID in the application form for PAN allotment and income tax returns.
Changes in PPF rules
The central government has changed the rules of the Public Provident Fund. According to the new rules, action will now be taken for holding more than one PF account. At the same time, account holders below 18 years of age will not get interest on the post office savings account. Interest will be credited after the age of 18 years.
