At the same time, if you want to make a specific FD for 400 days in SBI’s Amrit Kalash scheme, customers will be given interest up to 7.10 per cent.

How will the income be?

If an ordinary citizen invests Rs 1 lakh in SBI’s Amrit Kalash scheme, he will have an income of Rs 7,100 at the rate of 7.1 per cent interest. Senior citizens will quickly get an interest of Rs 7,600 at the rate of 7.60 per cent on a deposit of Rs 1 lakh from the scheme.

You can invest up to a maximum of Rs 2 crore in the scheme, from which you will get bumper returns. Suppose a commoner invests Rs 10 lakh; he will get an interest of Rs 71,000 yearly. The monthly income will be around Rs 5916. Senior citizens will get Rs 76,000 per year on Rs 10 lakh. The income will be around Rs 6,333 every month.
