Free Ration List: There is important news for ration card holders. If you have not completed the work of e-KYC yet, get it done as soon as possible. Otherwise, your ration card will be cancelled. The last date for getting e-KYC done has been fixed as December 31. A large number of beneficiaries have not yet received e-KYC.
The government has now given some relief to the card holders by extending the date of e-KYC till September 30, 2024.
On the other hand, in the public distribution system, there is a crisis of free ration of about 8 lakh ration cards in Gorakhpur. Even after repeated ultimatums, the ration dealers have been successful in getting KYC done for only 22 lakh out of 33 lakh beneficiaries.
The department says that only 3 to 4 lakh beneficiaries can now come for KYC. In such a situation, the names of about 8 lakh beneficiaries can be removed from the free ration instalment.
In Gorakhpur, 33,33,832 beneficiaries benefit from free ration on more than 13 lahks Antyodaya and eligible household cards from 1858 ration shops. The department believes that many of them are deceased and some live abroad, while many employed people are also taking advantage of free ration in an illegal manner.
In such a situation, the department has been getting all the eligible people verified afresh since last June. Gorakhpur is number one in UP in terms of getting KYC done. Here, out of 33,33,832, 22,75,808 beneficiaries have been verified.
These districts in the top 10
Gorakhpur district is at the top in getting e-KYC done, and Ambedkarnagar district and Plaradabad are in third place. Mau is in fourth place, and Shravasti is in the top 5. Lalitpur, Sambhal, Ayodhya and Sant Kabir Nagar districts are included in the top 10.
How can you get e-KYC done online?
– First, visit the UP’s fertilizer logistics department website: http://fcs.up.gov.in.
– Here you will get the option of “e-KYC” or “Ration Card Aadhar Link”, then you have to click on it.
– Now, you must enter the ration card and Aadhar card numbers.
Now OTP will come on the mobile number linked to the Aadhar card, enter it.
– If the details are correct, your ration card information will be visible, and Aadhar verification will be performed.
