12 to 13 bogies of a train derailed near Karavaipettai railway station in Tamil Nadu, in which about 19 people are reported to be injured. The accident happened at 8.30 pm, after which there was chaos. When the bogie of the train derailed, its speed was 75 km per hour, which collided with the Mysore Darbhanga Bagmati Express goods train.

A total of 1360 passengers were on board. As soon as the accident happened, the NDRF team reached the spot. People trapped in the bogies could be taken out, in which the injured passengers were sent to the hospital. Some injured suffered serious injuries, but now their condition is said to be improving. Southern Railway gave big information

After 12-13 bogies got battery damaged on the night of 11 October, Southern Railway has given big information. Southern Railway said that after crossing Ponneri station at 8.27 pm, Bagmati got green signal to run on the main line. According to the railway, before reaching Kavaraipettai railway station, the loco pilot and train crew member of the train got a severe shock, after which there was a suspicion of a major incident.

Then the train left the main line and reached the loop line, where a goods train was already standing. In this way, Bagmati Express collided with the goods train, whose 12 to 13 coaches derailed. Not only this, one coach and parcel van caught fire. As soon as the accident happened, there was a ruckus in the railway department and local administration.

NDRF and regional senior officials reached the spot. NDRF somehow carried out relief work and evacuated people. Local people also helped the administration in getting the trapped passengers out. Routes of many trains were diverted by the railways.
