What is Tatkal Passport?
You can get a passport very quickly through Tatkal Passport. If the status is Granted after submitting the application form, your passport will be dispatched on the third working day.
Tatkal Passport Documents:
Aadhar card, PAN card, student ID card from a recognized institute, birth certificate, ration card, voter ID card, driving license, bank/post office passbook, etc., will be required for Tatkal’s passport. You will need two or three of these documents.
How to Apply For Tatkal Passport:
First of all, go to the official website of the passport service and then register
After registering, log in by entering the ID and password
Now you will get two options, fresh and re-issue; choose the fresh option.
In the scheme type, you have to select the Tatkal option
After selecting the Tatkal option, download the form and fill the form online
Now, you have to make a payment; after making the payment, take a print of the receipt.
After making the payment, book an appointment at the nearest passport service centre.
Tatkal Passport Fees:
According to passportindia.gov.in, if any person applies for a 36-page Tatkal passport, a charge of Rs 3500 will have to be paid. On the other hand, Rs 4000 will have to be paid for a 60-page Tatkal passport.
