JDCA president and former Ranji player Arvind Kapoor has been appointed as the manager of the Indian team by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) for the three-Test series between India-New Zealand.

Arvind Kapoor was also the arbusive in the India vs Australian Test match played by the BCCI in Ahmedabad in the year 2023, the liaison officer of the Pakistan team during the T20 World Cup in 2016, the Test and one-day series played between the India A vs New Zealand A team in Visakhapatnam in the year 2017 in which Rahul Dravid was appointed coach of the Indian A team and Arvind Kapoor was appointed team manager. Recently, Arvind Kapoor was the local manager of the Indian team in the India vs Bangladesh Test match held in Kanpur. Apart from this, he has been appointed by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association (UPCA) to official and other important positions of various teams in many international and IPL matches played in Kanpur and Lucknow.

In the past, Arvind Kapoor was the selector and chairman of the junior and senior selection committee of Uttar Pradesh for many years and during his tenure many selected players are currently performing well by representing senior and junior Indian teams and IPL teams. Arvind Kapoor credits the sincere hard work, the blessings of his parents and family and the affection of the sports lovers of Jhansi, especially the dynamic Vice President of BCCI, Rajiv Shukla.

He said that due to the guidance and efforts of Rajiv Shukla, positive development of Uttar Pradesh cricket is taking place. As a result, the cricket players of the state are getting opportunities on the international and national stage. The senior and junior players are doing well by being part of the national team and IPL teams.
