Champions Trophy 2025 remains sceptical as Pakistan has the hosting right; matches are set to happen in the gourds of Pakistan as per schedule so far. Team India may have no intention to travel to Pakistan for the Champions Trophy 2025, and as ECB said, the Champions Trophy without India is not possible. There is a fresh report on the tournament. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has given a fresh proposal to BCCI.

Cricbuzz has claimed in a report that the Pakistan Cricket Board has recently written a letter to the Indian Cricket Board BCCi, in which this special proposal has been given. According to the report, the PCB has said that if Team India does not want to stay in Pakistan due to security reasons and wants to return to Chandigarh or New Delhi after every match, then the Cricket Board is ready to provide full help in this matter. It has also been reported in the report that an official of the Pakistani board confirmed this offer. One of the major reasons for giving this option is the gap of one week between the last two matches of Team India.

The Pakistan Cricket Board released the probable schedule of the Champions Trophy a few months ago. The tournament will start from February 19 to March 9 and will be held in 3 cities. The PCB then also proposed to organize all the group matches of Team India only in Lahore so that Team India’s security would not be much threatened. Also, the distance from Lahore to India is only a few kilometers. In view of this, the PCB has given a new option to the BCCI to return India after every match. However, despite this option, Team India is unlikely to be sent to Pakistan. The BCCI has already made it clear in this matter that the decision to send Team India to Pakistan is only in the hands of the India government and whatever the government of the country says, it will be done.

The India government has time and again made it clear that terrorism and dialogue or cricket cannot go together. Foreign Minister S Jaishankar strongly raised the issue of terrorism during the SCO meeting and worked to give a reply to Pakistan in the same language.
