Pant, who scored 99 in the Bangalore Test against New Zealand, has moved up three places to number six in the latest rankings. In this regard, he has also left behind Indian star batsman Virat Kohli.

England’s Joe Root is at the top of the list and he has maintained his form consistently. Apart from Virat and Pant, Indian opener Yashasvi Jaiswal is at number four in the top ten.
