IND vs NZ Test Series: New Zealand defeated India by 113 runs. In the Pune Test match, with this victory, New Zealand won the three-match series 2-0, as they previously won the first match in Bengaluru. Tom Latham’s side outperform India in a Test series defeat at home after 12 years.

Chasing 359 runs in the second innings of the second test match, team India’s run chase started with disappointment. Captain Rohit Sharma lost his wicket for 8 runs. After his wicket, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shubman Gill brought their team back into the match. However, the Indian batsmen could not survive long enough to save the match and the series. Mitchell Santner’s brilliant bowling helped New Zealand prevent the Indian team on 245 runs.

For New Zealand, Mitchell Santner took seven (first innings) and six wickets (second innings), while Ajaz Patel took two wickets. For India, Yashasvi Jaiswal scored 77 runs while Ravindra Jadeja scored 42 runs. Virat Kohli scored just 17 runs in the second inning. Shubman Gill scored 23 runs before going back to the dressing room. Rishabh Pant was run out without scoring any runs.

The fifth wicket of the Indian team fell in the form of Virat Kohli, who scored 17 runs. Kohli took DRS after being dismissed LBW off Mitchell Santner, but the ball was seen touching the leg stump, and he was called out due to an umpire’s call. This wicket by Kohli proved to be a big setback for the Indian team.

Tom Latham, New Zealand captain, played a brilliant innings of 86 runs for New Zealand. However, the rest of the batsmen could not do much. Glenn Phillips scored an unbeaten 48, while Tom Blundell contributed 41 runs. In this way, the New Zealand team managed to score 255 runs against India in the second inning.
