Only few days to go before the final day to submit player retaintion list. All franchises have to announce their player retaintion list by October 31. As there is not too much time left, now it is clear weather MS Dhoni will play IPL 2025 for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) or not. CSK club owner have updated about it.

Few days ago CSK CEO Kashi Viswanath once said that MS Dhoni yet to take decision. Now, according to news reports, he said, “When he is ready, what else (do) we want. We are happy.” Kashi made this comment after a day Dhoni himself spoke about his IPL career for Chennai Super Kings.

“I just want to enjoy whatever last few years of cricket I am able to play. When you play cricket like a professional sport, it becomes difficult to enjoy it just like a game. That’s what I want to do. It’s not easy”, Dhoni said.

“The emotions keep coming, the commitments are there. I want to enjoy the game for the next few years. I have to keep myself fit for nine months, so that I can play two and a half months of IPL. You need to plan it out, but at the same time chill a bit.”

If all equations are going well, then the five-time IPL champion team can retain their former captain, MS Dhoni, only for Rs 4 crore, as an uncapped catagory player. CSK think tank also has to decide which player they should retain for a new season along with Dhoni. According to rumours, CSK can retain their last-year captain, Ruturaj Gaikwad, who is now in good form at domestic cricket. The franchise owner N. Srinivasan and Co. also need to take final call on some star cricketers like Ravindra Jadeja, Devon Conway (New Zealand), Shivam Dubey, Sameer Rizvi, and Matheesha Pathirana (Sri Lanka). Rachin Ravindra (New Zealand).
