Agni Chopra, son of ‘3 Idiots’ producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra and film critic Anupama Chopra, continued his fine form in the Ranji Trophy and scored another double century for Mizoram.

This is his second consecutive double century in the competition. He scored 218 runs in just 269 balls against Manipur. Agni has been performing brilliantly in the Ranji Trophy Plate League and scored four consecutive centuries in the start of his first-class career. Agni scored 105, 101, 114, 10, 164, 15, 166 and 92 in his first four Ranji matches. He became the first batsman in the world to score centuries in his first four first-class matches. This is a record that even the great Don Bradman could not achieve in his career.

Agni has scored a double century in the second consecutive match. Agni, son of filmmaker Vidhu Vinod Chopra and film critic Anupama Chopra, scored 218 off 269 balls in the first innings against Manipur, his third 100+ score in the last three matches. In the last match played against Arunachal Pradesh in Ahmedabad, Agni scored 110 and 238 runs. Mizoram won the match by 267 runs.

Agni has played cricket for Mumbai at the Under-19 and Under-23 level, after which his coach Khushpreet said that he should play for some other team, which can give him more time on the field. Agni has so far scored 1585 runs in 17 innings of 9 first-class matches. In which he has scored 100+ runs eight times. Although his record in List A matches is not something special, but in first-class cricket, he has definitely attracted the attention of people with his batting.
