What is the Free Gas Cylinder Scheme
The Free Gas Cylinder Scheme is a new initiative of the Modi government, which aims to provide clean fuel to the poor and middle-class families of the country. Under this scheme, eligible families will be given a free gas cylinder, gas stove, and the material required for the first-time connection. This scheme is an extension of the Ujjwala Yojana, which has already benefited crores of families.
Eligibility Criteria
To avail of this scheme, you must fulfill the following eligibility criteria:-
The applicant must have be 18 years of age or above.
The annual income of the family have to be less than Rs 1.5 lakh.
The family should not have other PG connection.
The applicant must have a valid Aadhaar card and bank account.
The family should be in the BPL (below the poverty line) category or belong to the Scheduled Caste/Tribe.

Online Application Process
Visit the government website.
Click on “New Application”.
Enter your Aadhaar number and mobile number.
Confirm the OTP.
Fill in the required correct information and upload the related documents.
Submit the form and get the acknowledgment number.
Offline Application Process
Get the application form from the nearest gas agency or government office.
Fill out the form carefully and attach photocopies of all the required documents.
Submit the filled form to the gas agency or government office.
Get the acknowledgment receipt and keep it safe for future reference.
