Diwali is celebrated every year on the new moon day of Kartik month. This year, the Amavasya Tithi of Kartik month will be two days. The Kartik Amavasya Tithi will start at 3.52 pm on October 31, Thursday, and the closing date will be at 06.16 pm on November 1, then the Pratipada Tithi will take place.

 

There is a religious belief of worshiping Lakshmi-Ganesh on Diwali in Pradosh Kaal, Amavasya Tithi, and Stable Lagna. Pradosh Kaal is the time when the sunset sets, and it lasts for about 2 hours and 24 minutes.

 

On October 31, the Pradosh Kaal will start at 05.36 pm while it will end at 08.11 pm. Apart from this, the stable ascendant for Lakshmi Pujan is considered very auspicious and best. On October 31, Taurus Ascendant will start from 06.25 pm to 08.20 pm. In this way, the auspicious time for Lakshmi Pujan on October 31 will be good between 06.25 pm and 08.20 pm. Overall, on October 31, the auspicious time for Lakshmi Pujan will be from 05.32 pm to 08.51 pm. Lakshmi Pujan will be especially fruitful at this auspicious time.

Puja vidhi

On Diwali, Lakshmi Puja should be started in Pradosh Kaal, and the northeast and north directions of the house are the most auspicious for Lakshmi Pujan. First of all, clean the place of worship, collect all the materials, and set up the mother’s post. Then draw the shwastika. After this, place rice in a bowl on top of this swastika and install the idol of Maat Lakshmi and Ganesh by laying a new red cloth on the outpost. After this, invoke all the deities and take the pledge of worship by sprinkling Ganga water.

 

After this, offer flowers, incense, lamps, and all the worship materials related to Diwali to Mata Lakshmi, Lord Ganesha, Kuber Dev, Mata Saraswati, and Hanuman ji installed on the outpost.
