TRAI Rules: Are you also a phone user? Then this article is for you. Ahead of the festive season, now TRAI has issued a deadline about many things. The deadline was given by TRAI to telecom companies. To prevent spam calls and fake messages, TRAI ordered Jio, Airtel, and Vodafone-Idea. The new rule was also scheduled to come into effect on November 1. But now it can be changed.
TRAI takes big step
According to many reports, TRAI can change its deadline. TRAI may make changes in its recently released consultation paper. TRAI chief said, ‘Our team has been working on this for the last 2 months. We are constantly taking new steps to secure the Indian network. But we think we need a little more time to repair the network. If this is done, then the deadline can be set till 31 December. That is, the new rule will be implemented in January. In such a situation, it can be extended for some time.’
TRAI will bring a new consultation paper
The consultation paper was implemented in late August. The TRAI chairman says that we are considering it right now. It may take three months. However, our aim is to implement it as soon as possible. In such a situation, we will come up with a new consultation paper in the month of January. The consultation paper talks about 50 SMS. These are done by telecom operators. There are also many other messages in it.
It was said by TRAI that there are many such numbers that are calling or messaging users without registration, and this is also causing a lot of loss. Therefore, work should be done to stop such messages immediately.
