There was a stir when someone posed a question to Tripti on ‘The Great Indian Kapil Show’.

In the show, Sunil Grover’s ‘Duffli’ character is a part of the entertainment of the audience, who sometimes asks bold questions in the name of humor. In this episode, he asked Tripti Dimri about her bold scene with Ranbir Kapoor in the film ‘Animal’.

Duffli jokingly said to Tripti, “What you did with Ranbir was just for the shooting, right? Nothing really happened?” To this, Tripti laughingly replied that the scene was only a drama and nothing was real. Duffli was pleased with his answer and extended a hand of friendship, which lightened the atmosphere.

People got angry on social media.

Tripti reacted easily to this amusing question, but the joke disturbed the audience a bit. As soon as this clip went viral, people on Reddit and other social media platforms strongly criticized the question, calling it inappropriate. Some viewers questioned the comedy style of the show and said that such a question shows disrespect toward actresses. Many viewers hold the belief that Ranbir or any other male actor would rarely face such questions.

People’s reaction

Will a male actor ever face such questions? One user wrote, “Tripti took it easily, but this question was really rude.” Another user questioned whether the show’s makers would have asked the same question if any other actress, such as Ananya or Janhvi, had taken Tripti’s place. Fans believe that the makers of the show should avoid such inappropriate jokes.

Trupti Dimri initially wasn’t a favorite, but she eventually emerged as the ideal choice.

Interestingly, director Anees Bazmee revealed in an interview that Tripti Dimri wasn’t initially his first choice for ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’. But suddenly he felt that Tripti was the best suited for this role, and he immediately signed her in the film. Anees Bazmee’s decision instilled a sense of freshness and excitement in the film, garnering positive feedback from the audience.

The incident during the film promotion may have captured the audience’s attention, but it also reveals the treatment of artists in our industry. Social media reactions indicate that today’s audience closely monitors sensitive issues. We still have to wait and see how much ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ does in the theatres.
