As of 5 pm on Tuesday, approximately 2.59 crore people have applied to avail the benefits of the Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Yojana. Following three phases of verification, the registration of around 23.97 lakh applicants has also been completed. What is PM Vishwakarma Yojana?

PM Vishwakarma Yojana is a government scheme. Under the scheme, the central government provides loans to artisans at a very low interest rate without any guarantee. This scheme has been launched by the central government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the welfare of artisans and craftsmen. Under the scheme, the government will give loans ranging from Rs 1 lakh to Rs 3 lakh to the registered applicants in different phases, that too at a concessional interest of just 5 percent. Up to 8 percent subsidy will be available from the government on this loan.

Loans up to Rs 3 lakh will be available at just 5% interest

In the first, the government will give a loan of Rs 1 lakh to the artisans under the PM Vishwakarma Yojana and after 18 months of loan repayment, the beneficiary will be eligible for an additional loan of Rs 2 lakh. The interest rate will remain at 5 percent. In such a situation, in the second phase, the beneficiary will have the opportunity to take a loan of another Rs 2 lakh at the same rate to expand his business. Apart from this, a voucher of Rs 15,000 is given to the registered applicants under the scheme only to purchase toolkits. This voucher can be used by the registered beneficiaries only for the purchase of equipment related to their work. Also, after applying under the scheme, the beneficiaries are given training. PM ​​Vishwakarma Yojana includes 18 areas related to carpenter, goldsmith, blacksmith, mason, stone sculpture sculptor, barber and sailor.

Benefits of PM Vishwakarma Yojana

The Vishwakarma Shram Samman Yojana aims to provide valuable assistance to skilled artisans.

1.This scheme includes a comprehensive training program conducted by the Small and Medium Enterprises Department located at the tehsil or district headquarters.

2. The successful applicant of Vishwakarma Shram Samman Yojana will get a training session, which will be an important step towards increasing employment prospects.

3. The scheme includes provision of financial assistance equivalent to semi-skilled wages to the artisans receiving training.

4. Under this scheme, each beneficiary will be given skill training for 5 days along with a daily allowance of Rs 500. Each beneficiary will be identified in a three-tier manner.

Apart from this, a grant of Rs 15,000 will be given as a toolkit incentive. An incentive of one rupee per transaction will be provided for up to 100 transactions in a month for digital transactions.

How to apply for Vishwakarma Yojana

1. Visit the official portal of PM Vishwakarma Yojana pmvishwakarma.gov.in.

2. Register using your mobile number and Aadhaar card.

3. Verify your mobile number and Aadhaar card through OTP verification.

4. Fill out the PM Vishwakarma Yojana registration form with your details including name, address and business-related information and submit it.

5. Download PM Vishwakarma Digital ID and Certificate.

6. Upload the required documents. After which the concerned department will verify your details.

7. If all the details are correct, your loan will be approved.

Under PM Vishwakarma Yojana, collateral-free loans will be given with the help of commercial banks, regional rural banks and other financial institutions. Artists and craftsmen can also register and apply for PM Vishwakarma Yojana by visiting their nearest Common Service Center.
