Big update on the PM Vishwakarma Scheme. As per the report, till 5 pm on Tuesday, about 2.59 crore people have applied to get the benefit of the Prime Minister Vishwakarma Yojana. After the three-phase verification, registration of about 23.97 lakh applicants has also been completed. What is PM Vishwakarma Yojana?
Who can take advantage of the scheme and which documents will be needed? Let us know about all such questions. PM Vishwakarma Yojana is a government scheme. Under the scheme, the central government provides loans to artisans at a very low interest rate without any guarantee. This scheme has been started by the central government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the betterment of artisans and craftsmen. Under the scheme, the government will give loans ranging from Rs 1 lakh to Rs 3 lakh in different stages to the registered applicants, that too at a concessional interest rate of only 5 percent. This loan will get a subsidy of up to 8 percent from the government.
In the first, the government will give a loan of Rs 1 lakh to the artisans under the PM Vishwakarma Scheme, and after 18 months of loan repayment, the beneficiary will be eligible for an additional loan of Rs 2 lakh. The interest rate will remain at 5 percent. In the second phase, the beneficiary will have the opportunity to take a loan of Rs 2 lakh at the same rate to expand his business.
Apart from this, registered applicants are given a voucher of Rs 15,000 under the scheme only for the purpose of purchasing the toolkit. This voucher can only be used by registered beneficiaries to purchase their work-related equipment. Also, after applying under the scheme, training is also given to the beneficiaries. The PM Vishwakarma scheme includes 18 areas involving carpenters, goldsmiths, blacksmiths, masons, stone idol carvers, barbers, and boatmen.

Benefits of PM Vishwakarma Yojana
The objective of the Vishwakarma Shram Samman Yojana is to provide valuable assistance to skilled artisans.
The scheme includes a comprehensive training program conducted by the Department of Small and Medium Enterprises located at Tehsil or District Headquarters.
The successful applicant of the Vishwakarma Shram Samman Yojana will get a training session, which will be an important step towards increasing employment prospects.
The scheme includes the provision of financial assistance equivalent to semi-skilled wages to the artisans who receive training.
In this scheme, each beneficiary will be given skill training for 5 days along with a daily allowance of Rs 500. Each beneficiary will be identified in a three-tier manner.
Apart from this, a grant of Rs 15,000 will be given as a toolkit incentive. An incentive of Re 1 per transaction will be provided for digital transactions for up to 100 transactions in a month.
