SA vs IND: Only a few hours to go before the first ball of South Africa vs. India first T20I match in Druban. India now has to focus on two different series, one in Australia (Border Gavaskar Trophy), and another one in South Africa. The Border Gavaskar Trophy is now more important for India, as they have a chance to qualify for the WTC final for the third time. On the other hand, India, the champion of the ICC T20I World Cup, is looking to keep their momentum in the shorter format of cricket. Suryakumar Yadav-led India started their practice in Druban under the grey clouded sky.

Many new and young players have been included in the Indian team for this T20 series. Middle order batsman Ramandeep Singh and fast bowler Vijaykumar Vaishak entered. Both players have got a place in India’s senior team for the first time.

Left-arm fast bowler Yash Dayal has also been included in the team. However, fast bowler Mayank Yadav and all-rounder Shivam Dubey are not part of the team due to injury. All-rounder Riyan Parag was also not available for selection. The Indian team had to face defeat for the last time in the bilateral T20 series against South Africa in October 2015.
