Government oil marketing companies (OMCs) update the prices of petrol and diesel every day at 6 am, a practice that has been in place since 2017. The prices for petrol and diesel have been revised for 10 November 2024 (Friday). However, there has been no significant change in the rates today.

Crude oil price
After Donald Trump’s victory in the US presidential election, the price of crude oil continues to fluctuate. Today, the price of benchmark Brent crude has fallen marginally. The price of Brent crude fell by 0.57 per cent to $75.20 per barrel. Government oil companies have been given the responsibility of deciding the prices of petrol and diesel according to the price of crude oil.
However, oil companies have not made any major changes in the prices of petrol and diesel for a long time. The last time before the Lok Sabha elections, the price of petrol and diesel was reduced by Rs 2-2 per litre.

- The price of one litre of petrol in Delhi is Rs 94.72 and the price of diesel is Rs 87.62 per litre.
- The price of petrol in Mumbai is Rs 103.44 per litre and the price of diesel is Rs 89.97 per litre.
- The price of petrol in Kolkata is Rs 104.95 per litre and diesel is Rs 91.76 per litre.
- The price of petrol in Chennai is Rs 100.75 per litre and the price of diesel is Rs 92.34 per litre.
