The Indian Meteorological Department has issued a warning about rain in many South India areas. According to the IMD, an alert was issued today for heavy rains in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal.

There is a possibility that a lightning warning has also been issued along with rain. In its latest weather forecast, IMD said that a new low-pressure area is expected to develop southwest of the Bay of Bengal, which may lead to heavy rains in southern India.

According to meteorological forecasts, a warning has been issued given heavy rainfall in southern coastal Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Kerala from November 11 to 14.

Kerala Weather Alert

According to the Meteorological Department, rain is possible in many areas of southern Kerala. An ‘Orange’ alert has been issued for three state districts. A ‘Yellow Alert’ has been issued for Alappuzha, Kottayam, Ernakulam and Idukki districts.
