Good news for travelers. Airport food is going to be cheaper soon. Yes, you’ve heard it right. There are still many people going in shocked after seeing the airport food price. But not anymore. Because the government is going to make a big plan. Drinking tea at the airport will no longer be heavy on your pocket. The government is preparing to make an economy zone at the airport very soon. First, such zones will be designed at the newly built airports. After this, the place for the Eco Zone will be selected at the rest of the airports, and then preparations will be started to develop such zones.
Preparations are being made to create an economy zone at airports. Due to this, you will now be able to drink tea for less money, as well as have breakfast. Affordable tea, water, and snacks will be available in this economy zone. However, there will be no seating arrangement like a restaurant.
How will the economy zone be?
This economy zone will be similar to the food zone of malls; here you will be able to eat food from the counter on the tables. There will also be an on-the-go facility to pack and take food with you. In fact, expensive food and drink at airports put an additional burden, and many times passengers complained about it.
How long will it take to be ready?
Civil Aviation Minister Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu reached a consensus to start work on this after several rounds of meetings. AAI and other food outlets serving the airport, as well as new agencies, will start developing and operating such zones. First, such zones will be designed at the newly built airports. After this, the place for the Eco Zone will be selected at the rest of the airports, and then preparations will be started to develop such zones.
At present, 10 samosas are available at all the airports of the country, due to which common passengers are deprived of food items at airports, but the Modi government is now going to arrange better food and drink at the airport for common passengers. Now the airport will soon get food and drink at affordable rates.
