The big news is waiting for pensioners. Now the government takes a big decision regarding the pension system. Yes, you’ve heard it right. The window for submission of life certificates has been opened for pensioners from January 1. November 30 is its last date; that means by November 30, these people will have to submit their life certificate; otherwise, the pension may stop. By submitting the life certificate, pensioners give proof of their being alive. Earlier, pensioners had to make rounds of the bank to make a life certificate, but now they can do this work sitting at home. In order to get rid of all the problems faced by pensioners in making physical life certificates, the government has started the facility of digital life certificates. For this, pensioners can take help of the post office’s doorstep service. Let’s know about the process.

Know the process

If you want to submit the Digital Life Certificate sitting at home, you can request the help of the postman through the website of the India Post Payment Bank or through the PostInfo App. Issuing DLC is a completely paperless and easy process. In this, your digital life certificate is ready in no time. In this service, the Gramin Dak Sevak will come to the house and generate the pensioner’s digital life certificate and submit it.

Big news for pensioners

It is not necessary to be a customer of IPPB to avail this service. Anyone can apply for it. However, for the successful generation of DLC, you will have to pay a charge of Rs 70. To avail this service through mobile, pensioners can download the PostInfo app from the Google Play Store. To generate DLC, pensioners will have to provide Aadhaar number, mobile number, bank or post office account number, and PPO number. Further, the Aadhaar number should be pre-registered with the pension disbursing agency.
