Schools Closed: The country’s capital, Delhi, has become a gas chamber. At this time, it has become challenging for people to breathe in Delhi. The people of Delhi are suffocating due to the poisonous pollution in the air.
The people of Delhi are in terrible condition due to dangerous air pollution. Visibility has reduced a lot in many areas of the city. A thick layer of smog is seen in many areas of Delhi early in the morning.
Keeping in mind the health of school children, the Delhi government has decided to keep all primary schools closed. These schools can be shifted to online classes till further orders.
In fact, given the smog and deterioration in air quality in Delhi NCR, the guidelines of Graded Response Action Plan Stage-III have been implemented in Delhi-NCR from Friday (November 15, 2024). Phase 3 of GRAP is implemented when the Air Quality Index reaches the “severe” level, in which an attempt is made to shift to online classes for students up to class 5. Delhi Chief Minister Atishi has announced that primary schools should be kept closed.
She wrote in her ‘X’ post, ‘Due to increasing pollution, all primary schools in Delhi will start online classes till further instructions.’ That is, there will be no physical classes in primary schools.
Air quality is divided into four different stages-
Phase I – ‘Poor’ (AQI 201-300)
Phase II – ‘Very Poor’ (AQI 301-400)
Phase III – ‘Severe’ (AQI 401-450)
Phase IV – ‘Very Severe’ (AQI >450)
In Delhi’s Akshardham area, it seems as if there is a thick fog, but the smog has spread here, so the whole of Delhi is engulfed in smoke. Smog was spread all day in Delhi.
Due to this, people are experiencing eye irritation and difficulty breathing. In the morning, visibility was reduced due to smog and haze.
