PM Vishwakarma Scheme

On 17 September 2023, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the PM Vishwakarma scheme on the occasion of his 73rd birthday, which aims to provide economic and technical assistance to traditional artisans and handicraftsmen. A provision of Rs 13000 crore has been made under this scheme, which will be applicable till 2023-2028. The beneficiaries will get a loan without guarantee in two phases at an interest-free interest rate up to Rs 1 lakh and at a concessional interest rate up to Rs 2 lakh. Apart from this scheme, many other schemes were started under the leadership of PM.

Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana

Its objective is to provide housing to the poor and homeless people of the country. Under this, assistance of Rs 1.3 lakh is given to people in rural areas and Rs 1.2 lakh in urban areas. So far, more than 4 crore people have benefited from this scheme.

Jan Dhan Yojana

Under this scheme, poor people can open zero-balance bank accounts and withdraw up to Rs 10,000 under the overdraft facility. Its purpose is to connect the poor class with the banking system.

Ujjwala Yojana

Under this, BPL families get free gas connections and 12 cylinders at subsidy. So far, 9.59 crore people have benefited from it.

Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana

Under this scheme, small and marginal farmers of the country receive assistance of Rs. 6,000 each year, which is deposited directly into their bank accounts in three installments.

Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana

Under this scheme, 80 crore people were given 5 kg of free food grains every month during the Corona epidemic. The scheme has been extended till December 2023.

Ayushman Bharat Scheme

Through this scheme, poor citizens get free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh. Ayushman cards are being made for eligible people.

Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana

Insurance cover of Rs 2 lakh is provided at an annual premium of only Rs 436. The scheme is available to people between the ages of 18 and 55 years.

Pradhan Mantri Suraksha BIM Yojana

People between 18 and 70 years can get accident insurance cover up to Rs 2 lakh at a premium of Rs 20 annually.

Atal Pension Scheme

People from 18 to 40 years old can invest in this scheme run for unorganized sector workers. After the age of 60 years, a maximum monthly pension of up to Rs 5000 can be obtained.
