The latest Maruti Dzire, in its fourth generation, is the inaugural Maruti Suzuki vehicle to achieve a 5-star safety rating from the Global NCAP. The latest model underwent a recent crash test, achieving a 5-star rating for adult passenger safety with a score of 31.24 out of 34, and a 4-star rating for child passenger safety with a score of 39.20 out of 42. It’s important to mention that the tested model was designed and manufactured in India, specifically for the Indian market, and came equipped with 6 airbags, 3-point seatbelts for all seats along with reminders, electronic stability control, Isofix mounts for the rear outboard seats, and seatbelt pretensioners with load limiters. The new Maruti Dzire also complies with UN 127 pedestrian safety requirements.

TATA Motors Car safety features

Tata Motors’ name comes first in terms of making safe cars in India. But the new Maruti Dzire sedan has got a five-star safety rating, while the Tata Tigor sedan has only got a four-star safety rating. Hence, Maruti has overtaken Tata in terms of safe sedans. In terms of safety, the new Dzire tops its segment. Maruti has given many such features in this Dzire which are available for the first time in any car in this segment. It includes great features like a nine-inch touchscreen infotainment system, single pane electric sunroof, 360-degree camera.
Six airbags are standard in the new Dzire. The Tata Tigor, on the other hand, only gets two airbags across all trims. The Dzire gets ABS with EBD, electronic stability program, reverse parking sensors, ISOFIX child seat anchors, hill hold assist, seatbelt reminder, three-point seatbelts for all seats, rear defogger and more. Moreover, the tyre pressure monitoring system is also available in ZXi trim.

The ex-showroom price of the new Maruti Dzire ranges from Rs 6.79 lakh to Rs 10.14 lakh. At the same time, the ex-showroom price of Tata Tigor ranges from Rs 6 lakh to Rs 9.40 lakh. The new Maruti Dzire not only has great safety features, but its price is also quite affordable. Priced at a starting Rs 6.79 lakh, ex-showroom, the new Maruti Suzuki Dzire gets six airbags as standard. All variants of the Dzire will get six airbags. This feature of the new Maruti Suzuki Dzire has become a new challenge for Tata.
