Make This Spicy Pickled Onion Paratha: In winter, both the craving and the taste of food increase. Gajar ka halwa, sarson ka saag and makki ki roti, butter-filled parathas – have become the speciality of winter. Talking about parathas, parathas with different stuffings like potato, fenugreek, cabbage, paneer, etc. are liked in every household. But have you ever tried pickled onion parathas? If not, then definitely make it this winter. Its spicy and tangy taste will be such that you cannot stop yourself from making it repeatedly.

Ingredients required for Pickled Onion Paratha

Ingredients Quantity
Wheat flour  -2 cups
Onions 2 (thinly sliced)
Red chilli powder  -1/2 teaspoon
Celery – 1/2 teaspoon
Ginger-garlic paste one teaspoon
Ghee – 4 teaspoons
Green chillies 2 (finely chopped)
Chaat masala one teaspoon
Coriander leaves (chopped)-  2 teaspoons
Mango pickle masala two teaspoons
Salt to taste

Method of making Pickled Onion Paratha

1. Prepare the dough for the paratha:
Take flour in a large vessel. Add celery and one teaspoon of oil to it and mix well. Now knead a soft dough with lukewarm water. Cover it and keep it for a while so the dough sets.

2. Prepare the stuffing for the paratha:
Cut the onion into thin slices, wash it, add a little salt, and keep aside for 5 minutes.

After this, squeeze the onion lightly and remove the water.Add red chilli powder, celery, ginger-garlic paste, green chillies, coriander leaves, chaat masala, mango pickle masala and salt according to taste and mix well.

3. Roll and bake parathas:

Make small balls from the kneaded dough.

Roll a ball lightly and fill it with onion stuffing. Then close it with light hands.

Now, roll it lightly with a rolling pin.

Apply ghee on both sides of the paratha on a medium flame pan and bake until it becomes golden and crispy.

Way of serving paratha:

Serve hot pickled onion parathas with curd, chutney or tea. Its spicy taste will make your winter morning more special.

Tip: If you like spicy food more, you can increase the number of green chillies.
