Important things related to the fitment factor
The fitment factor can be increased from 2.57 to 2.87 times. After this, the minimum salary can also rise directly from Rs 17,990 to Rs 35,000. According to this, the salary can increase by Rs 17,000
Earlier, when the fitment factor was increased to 2.57, even at that time, the minimum basic salary was increased from Rs 7,000 to Rs 17,990. Although the government constitutes a new pay commission every ten years, it was not seen this time.
In 2014, the central government constituted the 7th Pay Commission. It was implemented two years later, on January 1, 2016. According to 10 years, the 8th Pay Commission should have been formed in the year 2024 itself.
How much DA are central employees getting?
Central employees are currently receiving a 53 per cent DA benefit. Earlier, the workers were getting 50 per cent DA. During the festive season, the Modi government increased the dearness allowance of the employees by 3 per cent. Its rates have been implemented from July 1, 2024. The government increases DA twice yearly, the rates of which are implemented from January 1 to July 1.
