There is good news for the coaches and players of Uttarakhand sports. The Pushkar Singh Dhami government of the state has increased the honorarium by two to five times. In view of the 38th National Games, the Uttarakhand government has decided to increase the budget for organizing training camps and allowances for players and coaches. The National Games are scheduled to be held from January 28, 2025, to February 14, 2025.
The honorarium of coaches, high-performance directors, head trainers, assistant trainers, and strength and conditioning experts who are deployed for conducting training camps in various sports has also been revised. In view of the National Games, the amount of allowances and budget for players, coaches, and training camps has increased. Its duly GO has also been issued.
Know how much the allowance of the players has been increased
1. Under the residential arrangement, the amount has been increased from Rs 150 to Rs 800 per player and coach.
2. The food allowance has been increased from Rs 250 to Rs 480.
3. Sports kits, track suits, sports kits, shoes, socks, and camps will continue to be priced at Rs 5,000.
4. The sports material for equipment has been increased from Rs 25,000 to Rs 3 lakh.
5. Miscellaneous expenditures such as stationery, refreshments, ground marking material, and maintenance of the ground have been increased from Rs 25,000 to Rs 40,000.
6. Travel allowance has been increased from Rs 1500 to Rs 2000.
The remuneration of head coaches and assistant coaches has also increased
1. The remuneration of head coaches has been increased from Rs 75,000 to Rs 1,25,000.
2. The honorarium of Assistant Coach has been increased from Rs. 40,000 to Rs. 80,000.
3. The physio fee for support staff has been increased to Rs 60,000 per month.
4. Psychologists have been paid Rs 60,000 per month, nutritionists Rs 60,000 per month, and masseurs Rs 40,000 per month.
