Good news for 78 million PAN card holders

Big update for PAN card holders’. The PAN card, which has been in use since 1972, is now on the path of change.

The government has approved the new version of PAN 2.0, and with this,

about 78 crore people in the country will now have to change their Permanent Account Number (PAN) card.

The main objective of this change is to make things easier for taxpayers.

After the government’s approval, the question is arising in the minds of taxpayers whether their PAN number

will also change and what will be the process of making a new card.

As Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said, the new version of the PAN card will only be equipped with

the new feature, while your PAN number will remain the same. A QR code will be given on this card, which will contain all your information.
