In fact, the Food Security Department of Rajasthan has made it mandatory to get eKYC done for all the members included in the ration card of the selected family in the National Food Security Scheme, the last date of which has been fixed as 30 November 2024. Eligible beneficiaries of the food security scheme can get eKYC done by November 2024 by visiting fair price shops. At present, 4.46 crore people are being benefited under the National Food Security Scheme in the state.
Keep these things in mind while doing eKYC
1. Verification of all the members registered in the ration card is necessary for eKYC.
2. If the eKYC of a single member is not done, then the ration card will not be updated.
3. If fingerprints are not scanned during eKYC of a consumer, then e-KYC will be done from the iris machine for them.
4. If e-KYC is not being done by any member of the selected family, then ration wheat will not be given to that family.
5. If a member’s Aadhaar card is not linked to the consumer’s ration card, then e-KYC of that member can be done only after getting Aadhaar seeding done in the first ration card.
6. Under the Food Security Scheme, the consumers who have to get Aadhaar seeding done in their ration card can get Aadhaar seeding done by going to the office of the Sub-Divisional Officer of the concerned area. The facility for Aadhaar seeding is also available in the District Logistics Office.
