For this, the Army has taken out vacancies for unmarried male and female law graduates through the Short Service Commission (SSC) under the Judge Advocate General branch. Who can apply?

Candidates applying for these posts should have LLB (3-year course after graduation or 5-year course after 10+2) with minimum 55% marks from any recognized university. The CLAT PG 2024 score is mandatory for the application. Candidates should be eligible for registration as an advocate with the Bar Council of India or the Bar Council of the State. The concerned degree should be obtained from a college or university recognized by the Bar Council of India.

Age limit

Minimum Age Limit of Candidates: 21 years

Maximum Age Limit of Candidates: 27 years (as on last date of application)

Salary

Selected candidates will undergo 49 weeks of training at the Officers Training Academy (OTA), Chennai. During the training, a stipend of Rs 56,100 per month will be given. The following payments will be made thereafter. Application link is https://joinindianarmy.nic.in/Authentication.aspx.

Selection Process

The selection process involves two stages. The first one is the Service Selection Board (SSB) interview. There will be an in-depth evaluation of the candidates. The second one is a medical test. This test will be done to confirm physical and mental health.
